The Band – Stage Fright (LP Vinyl)
Product Details
Recorded at the Woodstock Playhouse in the summer of 1970, Stage Fright captured The Band at a moment of genuine internal tension, and that unease bleeds through every track. Robertson's songwriting had grown more personal and searching, while Manuel and Danko's vocals carry a weight that feels lived-in rather than performed.
Limited 180 gram audiophile vinyl LP repressing of this classic album by the rock/roots icons. Stage Fright was The Band's third album, originally released in 1970. It included dense arrangements, penetrating guitar and keyboards and deep drums and bass. The album includes standouts "The W.S. Walcott Medicine Show" and "The Shape I'm In." The Band was a Canadian-American roots rock group, originally consisting of Rick Danko (bass guitar, double bass, fiddle, trombone, vocals), Levon Helm (drums, mandolin, vocals), Garth Hudson (keyboards, saxophones, trumpet), Richard Manuel (piano, baritone, drums, vocals) and Robbie Robertson (guitar, percussion, vocals).
