Product Details

Lux Interior and Poison Ivy built their sound from the margins of American music, digging through forgotten rockabilly, surf, and primitive R&B to create something that felt ancient and completely unhinged at the same time. Recorded at Sam Phillips Recording Service in Memphis, the spiritual home of Sun Records, this debut captures a band that treated the history of rock and roll like a séance.

Vinyl LP pressing. Songs the Lord Taught Us is the 1980 debut album by The Cramps with the bewildering tunes, "TV Set," "The Mad Daddy," and "I Was A Teenage Werewolf" amongst other utterly unique rock classics.
