Product Details
Released in 1971 just months before Jim Morrison's death in Paris, L.A. Woman marked a deliberate return to the blues roots that first drew the band together, recorded in their own rehearsal space with producer Bruce Botnick after a fractured relationship with longtime collaborator Paul Rothchild. The title track and "Riders on the Storm" stand as some of the most atmospheric performances Morrison ever committed to tape, his voice settled into a deeper, looser authority that made the album feel like both a homecoming and a farewell.
