Product Details
Will Farnsby and Georgie Fuller have quietly built one of the most compelling sounds to emerge from the UK in recent years, blending sun-baked California folk, soul, and psych into something that feels genuinely timeless. Their live show is where that vision fully coheres, and capturing it on wax makes sense for a band whose warmth translates so naturally to an audience setting. The choice of covers here is telling: both Khruangbin and Father John Misty occupy a similarly unhurried, groove-forward space that sits right in The Heavy Heavy's wheelhouse.
Made up of fan favorites from the road and live in-studio sessions, The Heavy Heavy "Live" is a 10-track testimonial to their unique sound & style. Side A features live performances from tour and the first ever recording of set opener "Parakeets." Side B brings their live chops to the studio with iconic takes on Father John Misty's "Real Love Baby" and Khruangbin & Leon Bridges' "Texas sun." Both songs were recorded in a London church and feature a choir that elevates the songs to new levels
