Product Details

Released in 1994 at the peak of Britain's Criminal Justice Act controversy, which effectively criminalized outdoor raves, "Music For The Jilted Generation" was a direct response to the government's crackdown on free party culture. The title said everything. Howlett channeled that collective anger into something far more sophisticated than the rave underground expected, bridging the gap between the dancefloor and the rock stage before anyone knew that was possible.

Double vinyl LP pressing. 1995 sophomore album now including a bonus disc featuring nine additional B-sides and remixes. Led by producer/musical mastermind Liam Howlett, the Prodigy embraced Rave culture, Electronica and Rock music, creating a virtually limitless Techno canvas in which to throw their musical ideas at. Nearly every Techno/Rave band to emerge in the last decade has been influenced by the Prodigy.
