Released in 1994 as the first Stones studio album without Bill Wyman, Voodoo Lounge marked a genuine transition point for the band, with Darryl Jones stepping in on bass and the group finding a sound that felt hungry rather than comfortable. The supporting tour became one of the highest-grossing in rock history, a reminder that the Stones could still command a stadium on their own terms.
