The Weeknd – Kiss Land (LP Vinyl)
Product Details
Released at the height of his cult following, Kiss Land captured Abel Tesfaye leaning deeper into cinematic noir than the R&B mainstream expected, drawing as much from horror film atmosphere and Michael Jackson's vocal theatrics as from contemporary pop. The album's cold, jet-lagged isolation reflected his relentless touring schedule at the time, giving it a lived-in unease that separated it from anything else on the radio in 2013.
Vinyl LP pressing. 2013 release from the Canadian artist and producer. Kiss Land follows up his unanimously celebrated platinum-selling 2012 debut, Trilogy. Tapping into that same signature mystique, this second effort is an elegant pastiche of love, longing, and lust set to a futuristic soundtrack of shimmering keys, disruptive synths, and airy atmospherics. It's dark. It's dangerous. It's decidedly sexy. It's The Weeknd.
