Jack and Meg White recorded Elephant entirely on analog equipment, committing to a no-digital rule that gave the album a rawness that felt almost confrontational against the Pro Tools era it arrived in. The sessions took place in London in 2003, and the result, anchored by the sledgehammer riff of "Seven Nation Army," became one of the defining rock records of the decade.

Elephant is the fourth studio album by the American rock duo The White Stripes. The album garnered critical acclaim and commercial success, earning a nomination for Album of the Year and a win for Best Alternative Music Album at the 46th Grammy Awards in 2004.
