Thee Headcoatees – Curious Case Of (CD)

Thee Headcoatees occupied a singular lane in the early-90s lo-fi garage revival, running parallel to Billy Childish's Thee Headcoats as a raw, irreverent counterpart built around the voices of Holly Golightly, Kyra Dalla Valle, Ludella Black, and others who rotated through the lineup. Their records were scratchy, immediate, and completely unbothered by convention. A career-spanning collection with booklet documentation is exactly the kind of treatment this underappreciated corner of the underground deserves.
