Trey's first studio album with his full band in nearly a decade, Paper Wheels captures the loose, communal energy that defines his best work outside of Phish, drawing on the same Vermont roots that have grounded his songwriting since the Barn became a creative home base. The 10-piece ensemble he assembled here, including longtime collaborators from the Trey Anastasio Band, gives these songs a live-room immediacy that suits the material well.
12 track new album produced by Trey Anastasio and longtime collaborator Bryce Goggin, mixed by Elliot Scheiner (Steely Dan, Van Morrison), Paper Wheels was recorded last year at The Barn, the Phish founding guitarist's famed Jeffersonville, VT farmhouse-turned-rehearsal space/recording studio.
