Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz have been quietly building one of the most devoted followings in modern folk, first as Mandolin Orange and then under the Watchhouse name they adopted in 2021. This January 2020 performance captures them at a pivotal moment, just before the name change, when the intimacy of their two-voice harmony and Marlin's fingerpicked arrangements were winning over rooms far beyond the festival circuit.
Watchhouse took the Austin City Limits Live stage at The Moody Theater in Austin, TX on January 23, 2020 in support of their then latest album - Tides of a Teardrop. Throughout the night, they played fan favorites from "Blindfaller", "Such Jubilee" and "This Side of Jordan" and debuted a new instrumental track - "Hawk Is A Mule."
