Gene and Dean Ween recorded their 1996 country album in Nashville with a crew of genuine Music Row session veterans, and the result was something those players had almost certainly never experienced before. Equal parts loving homage and gleeful deconstruction, the original nine tracks (the title's number was a joke) captured a band fluent enough in the form to bend it without breaking it.
