Kanye West / Ty Dolla Sign – Vultures 1 (CD)
West, Kanye / Ty Dolla Sign CDs
Product Details
Kanye West's creative partnership with Ty Dolla Sign brought ¥$ into sharp focus across a rollout that leaned heavily on listening events and last-minute tracklist shifts, reflecting the same restless, process-as-performance approach that has defined Ye's public releases since at least *The Life of Pablo*. The finished product landed as one of the more debated rap releases of 2024, with producers including Ojivolta and others shaping a sound that pulls from West's Chicago soul-sampling roots while pushing into something harder to pin down.
Vultures 1 is the debut studio album by the American hip hop supergroup Ø$, composed of the rapper Kanye West and the singer Ty Dolla Sign. VULTURES1 is Ye's first collaborative album since his 2018 album with Kid Cudi, KIDSSEEGHOSTS, and as such, delivers celebratory, reunion-like energy. Bridging R&B, classic soul-sample rap, and the lo-fi electro stylings of late-era Ye, VULTURES1 manages to fuse Ye's go-to productions methods and Ty Dolla's effortlessly smooth vocals. This results in an unpredictable and dynamic listening experience.
