Product Details

Memphis rap has always carried real weight, and Young Dolph wore that tradition on his sleeve. Recorded in the aftermath of a 2017 ambush in Charlotte that left his vehicle riddled with bullets, Bulletproof is as raw and unbothered a response as you'll find in contemporary Southern rap, channeling the defiant spirit of a city that raised him tough.

2017 release. Young Dolph has gained a lot of notoriety within his hometown of Memphis, TN as well as nationwide for his braggadocious style, flashy personality, and gritty lyrics. Bulletproof is a direct answer back to the recent shooting aimed at him that had the SUV he was traveling in get shot at over 100 times, and left Dolph unscathed. The tracklisting reads like a taunt to whomever did the attack, "100 Shots In Charlotte, But I'm Bulletproof, So Fuk'em. That's How I Feel. I'm So Real, I Pray For My Enemies. I'm Everything You Wanna Be, So That's Why You Envy Me. SMH". This album and the events around it will indefinitely create more notoriety behind the self-proclaimed, King of Memphis.
